The Executive Director of Dushtha Shasthya Kendra (DSK) Dr. Dibalok Singha presented a Documentary on the solar-powered piped water and sanitation project carried out by DSK in Tripura Para, Sitakunda, Chattogram, Bangladesh in the World Water Week Conference on August 20, 2023 at Stockholm waterfront congress center, Sweden. It overwhelmed the participants from around the world.
Tom Freyberg, Founder & Managing Director of Atlantean Media Limited hosted the session where Dr. Dibalok Singha, Executive Director of DSK; Fatma Haxhialiu, Journalist & Public Figure; Sean Irwin, Associate Professor of Royal Roads University, Canada; Nancy Gilbert, Actress and Collin Benjamin, Namibian former professional footballer were the panelists.
Among others Marla Smith Nilson WFI, Jon Lane Adviser DSK, representatives from Simavi, Water Aid and Water.org were present!
The Conference valued DSK’s innovative tech in establishing right to water and sanitation of the disadvantaged and isolated ethnic community in the hill tracts of Bangladesh.
The theme of world water week 2023 is ‘Seeds of Change: Innovative Solutions for a Water-Wise World’. Academics, researchers, donors, UN representatives and activists and practitioners to promote Water, Sanitation, Hygiene and Environment all over the world talked about replication potential of DSK’s innovation. The Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) is the organizer of the 5-days World Water Week Conference from August 20 to 24, 2023.
