On February 17, 2025, WOP3 and DSK successfully organized the Sustainable Waste Management Program, promoting cleaner communities and a healthier environment. This initiative aimed to raise awareness and encourage responsible waste disposal practices, empowering local communities with sustainable solutions.

We were honored to have Ms. Inge Klaassen, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, as our chief guest, along with distinguished special guests: Md. Ziaur Rahman, Zonal Executive, DNCC; Md. Mahabubar Rahman, Chief Revenue Officer, DWASA; Dr. Dibalok Singha, Executive Director, DSK and Mr. Romano Radjkoemar, Resident Project Manager of WOP3 (moderator).

As part of the event, Ms. Klaassen visited Abuler Bosti in Mirpur 14, where she engaged with community members and witnessed firsthand the positive impact of the WOP3 project. To support sustainable waste management efforts, WOP3 handed over two van trolleys to the community—enhancing their ability to manage waste effectively.
